Plans and usage

Annual billing charges ten months for twelve. BYOK plans use your own OpenRouter key, so OpenRouter bills you for model usage. See Bring your own key.

What counts

• One analysis is one diagnosis sent to the AI.
• One fix is one repair attempt, validated by npx kwikqa validate. Its one retry, including the retry's diagnosis, is free.
• fix reuses the diagnosis analyze made for the same run, so it doesn't use another analysis.
• Declined requests, --local analysis, and requests the model provider fails to answer don't count.

Team pools

On Team and BYOK Team, the monthly limits are one pool for everyone on the team: a 3-seat Team has 300 analyses and 75 fixes, used by whoever needs them. CI tokens created by anyone on the team draw from the same pool. Account and tokens explains inviting people.

When limits reset

At 00:00 UTC on the first day of each month, whatever day you subscribed and whether you pay monthly or yearly. Unused analyses and fixes don't carry over. npx kwikqa status shows what you've used and when the period ends.

Reaching a limit

KwikQA checks your remaining usage before it builds a request and stops with exit code 3 if you've used it up. Nothing is sent or charged. You can upgrade, add seats, wait for the reset, or use --local.

Choosing a plan

This prints a checkout link. You can also choose a plan in Billing. Payments go through Paddle, our merchant of record, which adds any sales tax or VAT that applies and emails your receipt. Your new limits apply as soon as Paddle confirms the payment.

Changing plans, seats, or billing period

Once you pay, change everything in Billing: you see the charge before you confirm, the unused part of your current period is credited, and the change applies right away. npx kwikqa upgrade on a paid plan points you there, so you're never charged for two plans. Update your card or download invoices from Paddle's customer portal, with npx kwikqa billing or from Billing.

Cancelling and refunds

• Monthly plans stay active until the end of the month you've paid for, then return to Free. They aren't refunded.
• Annual plans cancelled from Billing are refunded for their unused months: every started month is charged at the monthly price, and the rest comes back. For example, Pro annual ($200) cancelled in month 4 refunds $120. The plan ends right away.
