Refund policy

Effective 1 November 2026

Paid plans aren't on sale yet. This policy will apply to them from the day they are.

Payments for KwikQA are processed by Paddle, our merchant of record. This policy explains when you get money back. You cancel from Billing in your dashboard, which shows the refund before you confirm, and the refund is requested from Paddle as soon as you do.

Within 14 days of your first payment: a full refund

If you cancel within 14 days of the first payment for your plan, monthly or annual, that payment is refunded in full and paid access stops at once. Your account returns to the Free plan.

ExamplePaidRefunded
Pro monthly, cancelled on day 5$20$20
Pro annual, cancelled on day 10$200$200
Team annual, 3 seats, cancelled on day 13$750$750

The 14 days start at the checkout payment that started your subscription. Renewals are never refunded in full; after a renewal, the rules below apply.

You can get this full refund once in any 12 months. If a first payment of yours was refunded in full under this policy in the 12 months before you cancel, a new plan's first payment follows the rules below instead: an annual plan refunds its unused months, and a monthly plan stays active until the end of the month you've paid for. We check this against your billing records at Paddle, which match the email you pay with, so it also applies if you delete your account and sign up again. It doesn't limit a right to withdraw that consumer law gives you; Paddle handles those requests.

Example, two months after a full refundPaidRefunded
Pro monthly, cancelled on day 5: active until the end of the month$20$0
Pro annual, cancelled on day 10: 1 × $20 charged$200$180

After 14 days, annual plans: unused months are refunded

When you cancel an annual plan after the first 14 days, or within them after a full refund in the last 12 months:

  1. Every month of the current year that has started is charged at the plan's monthly price.
  2. The rest of what you paid for the year is refunded to your original payment method.
  3. Your plan ends right away, and your account returns to the Free plan.
ExamplePaidChargedRefunded
BYOK annual, cancelled on day 20$1001 × $10 = $10$90
Team annual, 3 seats, cancelled in month 2$7502 × $75 = $150$600
Pro annual, cancelled in month 4$2004 × $20 = $80$120

Annual billing charges ten months for twelve, so from the tenth month on nothing is left to refund. If you cancel then, your plan stays active until the end of the year you paid for. An annual plan is refunded this way once per billing year.

After 14 days, monthly plans

Monthly payments after the first 14 days are not refunded, and neither is a first payment after a full refund in the last 12 months. When you cancel a monthly plan, it stays active until the end of the month you've paid for, then returns to the Free plan.

Details

  • Changes during a period. Charges for changes you make during a billing period, such as added seats, are not refunded. Refunds cover the payment for the current period.
  • Taxes. A full refund includes the tax you paid. A partial refund includes tax in the same proportion as the price.
  • Deleting your account. Deleting your account cancels your subscription and refunds it exactly as cancelling would.
  • Team plans. Only the team's owner pays, so only the owner can cancel and receive a refund. When the plan ends, members go back to their own plan, usually Free.

How refunds are paid

Refunds go back to the payment method you used, through Paddle. Paddle may review a refund before approving it; once approved, your bank or card issuer usually shows it within 5 to 10 business days. Paddle's receipt email also lets you contact Paddle about your order.

Anything else

If you were charged in error, or something went wrong with a payment, email support@kwikqa.com and we'll make it right. This policy doesn't limit any rights you have under the consumer law where you live.
